While many of us understandably looking to ready meals and processed foods as a quick and low-cost way to feed the family during the pandemic, there are convenient, affordable, and healthy alternatives. The purpose of this program is to create a varied, nutritious food that will support our family's growth and development, all while building healthy eating habits.
MEAT PROCESSING WORKSHOP
This program was carried out to 21 participants as income generating livelihood project in manufacturing processed meat. Training materials were provided by the institution as starter pack for their backyard business. The program aimed to create income generating project and teach participants on how to produce processed meat products. The participants of the seminar-workshop were residents who belong to socio-class E that wanted to earn extra income.
FEEDING PROGRAM
Nursing and SIHM students weekly served preschool children in the community with balanced meals. They also educate their parents on proper health nutrition and hygiene. There are also other activities such as entertainment, feeding, and health teaching.
